About Me
I am an aspiring researcher with a background in molecular biology and genetics, currently a PhD Candidate in Earth and planetary sciences at the University of California, Riverside. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained valuable experience working in diverse research environments. I am deeply passionate about teaching, collaborating with fellow researchers, and engaging in scientific networking. One of the aspects I truly appreciate in my work is the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary research, as it allows me to explore innovative approaches and expand my knowledge base. The age-old questions surrounding the origin and early evolution of life on Earth have always captivated my curiosity and fueled my academic pursuits. Uncovering the mysteries surrounding these fundamental inquiries is a driving force behind my research endeavors. My ongoing project focuses on the computational phylogenetic reconstruction of ancient enzyme families used in microbial methanogenesis and methanotrophy. Through this research, I aim to contribute to our understanding of the origin and early evolution of life on Earth.
