Natalya Shelkovaya received her degree in Philosophy in 1986 and her Ph.D. in Philosophy in 1990 at the Maxim Gorky Kharkov State University. She is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Cultural Studies and Information Activity of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University (Severodonetsk). Her research activity mainly involves philosophical and religiousanthropology, Russian religious philosophy, social philosophy and psychology, comparative religious studies, the philosophy and psychology of religion, religious ethics. Her scholarly research is focused on the essence and transformations of the spiritual world of the individual and the spiritual life of society in modern technological civilization. She has published 155 publications in scientific journals, monographs and 70 communications in international and national conferences. She is the member of Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN), Integrated Science Association (ISA), the International Center for the Study of Russian Philosophy at St. Petersburg State University (Russia), the editorial board of the Brill book series "Contemporary Russian Philosophy" (Leiden, Netherlands).
